ભૂલો રે પડ્યો રે હંસો આંગણે ઊડીને આવ્યો

તન-મનથી તરછોડાયો, મારગ મારગ અથડાયો

હે ગમ ના પડે રે એને ઠાકુર તારા ધામની

The lost swan arrived flying in the courtyard;
Spurned by the body and mind, run into every path
The Lord’s abode was elusive to it.

કોને રે કાજે રે જીવડા ઝંખના તને રે જાગી

કોની રે વાટ્યું જોતા ભવની આ ભાવટ ભાગી

હે તરસ્યું રે જાગી જીવને ભક્તિ કેરા જામની

For whose wrought, O soul, has this yearning arisen?
Longing for whom will life’s illusion fade away?
The soul’s thirst has awakened for the nectar of devotion.
