As a Barefoot Counsellor, the aim is to help unburden emotionally. A safe place where you get to speak your heart out, unhindered. A safe harbour where confession meets empathy. Privacy will obviously be the hallmark of this engagement. Swami Vivekananda’s heroic words keep echoing repeatedly: “You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself. You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other Teacher but your own soul.” Om’s job then would naturally be to harness the latent energy better and channel it more prudently; to help offset the adverse music that life continues to threaten, day in and day out.
